Water Services

The Westhills Water System was established in 2010, timed with the initial land development and construction of new homes in the Westhills community. Through efforts by both Westhills and the City of Langford, the Capital Regional District (CRD) has granted Langford the ability to provide water to Westhills residents, which they have achieved through contracting this service to SSL. This is consistent with other cities, such as Victoria and Saanich, which have made similar arrangements. Our primary role is that of an end-use water distributor acting on behalf of the City of Langford, including the management and billing of customer accounts. The Capital Regional District (CRD) Integrated Water Services department continues to play an active role in maintaining quality and safety as a bulk water supplier for the region.
